About Us
Wendy Ritchie
Wendy came to the Fitness Industry from a career in
the corporate sector. Her interest and curiosity about
all things fitness grew after she engaged a personal
trainer to help her regain work/life balance while climbing
the corporate ladder. Wendy, then having decided to
make the change, formalised her education and gained
a Certificate IV Personal Training. Enjoying gaining
knowledge Wendy keeps herself up to date with current
fitness research and development.
Wendy's drive, caring nature and self motivation are
key factors in her success as a trainer. She guides
and encourages her clients to achieve results with workouts
that are challenging and goal orientated. Wendy's experience
and skills allow her to quickly and accurately gauge
clients abilities. Then with her support, those abilities
are expanded and enhanced taking the client to a new
level of well being and fitness.
Fitness Zone clients have enjoyed Wendy's sessions now
for over 7 years. The loyal and varied clients fill
her sessions Monday to Friday mornings from 6am to 11am
making available spots limited.
Ian Gully
Cert IV Personal Trainer who likes to use boxing training
and nutrition strategies to help get results for clients.
As someone who used gyms all my adult life, I found
over time that I was often unhappy with any leisure
centre or gymnasium I happened to use to do a workout.
My mother's negative experience with the weight loss
industry also caused me to be interested in weight loss
and exercise. From this there remains a number of things
that I stay mindful of to help provide a more satisfying
service to our clients.
Coming from a non fitness related industry, I became
a trainer 5 years ago and have worked here at Fitness
Zone for just over 2 yrs. It took me some time to come
to grips with the fairly unique format here of small
group personal training in which widely ranging fitness
levels are accommodated in the one group of up to 5
clients.
Seeing people come in with very different needs and
goals remains an enjoyable part of the job here as I
don't believe there's anyone who can't transform themselves
with a bit of help.
